Access to this deck is by means of cat ladder or staircase (by request). All fasteners are made from stainless steel.<\/li><\/ul><h4><strong>Axial ventilation fan<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>Each unit has multiple gear driven fans. The aerodynamically optimised blades are made of aluminium or fibreglass, and are adjustable when stationary. A protective grille covers the fan.<\/li><\/ul><h4><strong>Drift eliminator<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>Profiled plastic elements (PVC, Polypropylene or ABS) prevent water droplets from being carried out of the cooling tower by the air flow.<\/li><\/ul><h4><strong>Water distribution system<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>Self-cleaning, full-cone plastic nozzles are attached onto the water distribution pipes. These ensure a uniform distribution which is key to the performance of the cooling tower.<\/li><\/ul><h4><strong>Fill<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>Various cooling tower fills are available and are selected to best suit the process conditions (both temperature and water quality), fill materials are generally either made of PVC or polypropylene but other materials to suit higher temperature applications, are also available.<\/li><\/ul><h4><strong>Cooling components<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>The cooling components are carefully selected to ensure that there is minimal corrosion and no degradation (rotting).<\/li><\/ul><h4><strong>Dark Room Louvres<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>The cooling towers are generally supplied with Dark Room type air inlet louvres which are made of plastic (PVC or Polypropylene), and prevent water from splashing out. These can easily be dismantled for inspection and cleaning purposes.<\/li><\/ul><h4><strong>Outlet Strainer<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li>The outlet strainer is attached to the cooling tower outlet, and prevents dirt from entering the water system.<\/li><\/ul><h4><strong>Make-up Float valve<\/strong><\/h4><ul><li class=\"mb-5\">The float valve is connected to the make-up water supply and is used to
