Each bulk air cooler is custom designed to suit the mines requirements.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-368b326d custom-list-style elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"368b326d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>BAC\u2019s can be supplied in a number of different configurations and materials of construction. Options include the following configurations:<\/p><ul class=\"list-1\"><li>Counter Flow (most common)<\/li><li>Cross Flow<\/li><\/ul><p>Field erected BAC\u2019s can be constructed of various materials and would typically include:<\/p><ul class=\"list-1\"><li>Cast in situ concrete<\/li><li>Clad steel (hot dip galvanised or painted)<\/li><li>Clad pultruded fibreglass structures<\/li><\/ul><p>Modular BAC\u2019s are typically used for smaller capacity installations and are usually of the forced draught, cross flow design and are available in single or two stage configuration. These BAC\u2019s are designed to be easily transported to site in large sub-assemblies making for a simple site installation that can be easily relocated if required.<\/p><p>IWC is proud to be associated with South African gold and platinum mining industry and has provided several large, field-erected condenser cooling towers as well as both surface and underground bulk air coolers to mines across African continent.<\/p><p>Some notable projects include South Deep \u2013 South Shaft in Rustenburg, Sibanye \u2013 Kloof No 4 Shaft in Rustenburg and ROXGOLD in Burkina Faso. The BAC selection is usually an iterative process with the chiller supplier to ensure the best COP etc. but as a minimum, we need the following to design the
